First Strawberries

It was so exciting and rewarding to see our first Strawberries ripen on the bush. They happen to be the first fruits in our newly created garden as well. Last weekend we had our first taste of home grown strawberries and they tasted so much better than the store bought ones. I see a few more ripening on our Diggers early variety and the Japanese Hokowase. Both these plants fruit early from October to December. So we’re just getting started with the strawberry season.
